Let alone X4 all dungeons seeing enemies dissapear as if they were never there to begin with. The HP pool is just one of the things that need tweaking, bosses and normal enemies need huge boosts to their HP pools so you just can't triple berserk 99% of the fights. I'm not at end-game again yet but the hardest fights I've had so far have all gone the same way. Originally posted by Evilsod:Simply increasing a bosses health is a tedious way to make fights harder. The only thing that Yiazmat can challenge is patience, and considering there is X4 speed, it doesn't matter.Īlso, levels in this game are nearly irrelevant, aside the HP growth, but nothing doing in minus will be any diferent than in normal after getting all the important relevant gear. Yiazmat is even much easier than Zodiark, he doesnt have a single attack that can hurt beyond maybe getting a high multihit attack, but even that can be handled, by equipping 3 windbreakers you basically just won. Zodiark is not supposed to be easy, he is quite literally the hardest summon, in the hardest dungeon, he is anything but supposed to be easy. You want hard bosses, go fight real marks or equip a firefly on your main at the start. The espers pale in comparison to most of the regular hunts after rank V, let alone elite marks. go kill a level VIII mark like Yiazmat with 50 million hp (literally). All increasing his health would do is drag the fight out and make the RNG combo streaks more likely to end up causing a huge problem for the party Get it low and its defence, combo rate and damage ramp up massively and it becomes a game of chance on whether or not your primary tank gets combo'd to death between healsĪdmittadly Gilgamesh was an awesome fight that lasted 40 minutes at ~level 45-50, but it was very frustrating when occasionally the tank dies not because you did something wrong, but because Gilgamesh got a massive combo streak between heals.

Steady state where you just chip away at its health I'm not at end-game again yet but the hardest fights I've had so far have all gone the same way.Ĭlearing out the minion/trash along with the boss Simply increasing a bosses health is a tedious way to make fights harder. There's always the Decoy/Reverse combo too. Like having an off-party consisting of 3 fully buffed Berserkers with high damage/combo weapons.įor instance, I'm running through the game now, checking a guide now and then to make sure I don't miss things and basically every single boss fight past a point starts with 'use a Remedy - Niho' because unlike status magick I think its guaranteed (that and you don't have to work out what something isn't immune to.).

Ultimately its a single player game and there will always be strategies that simply surpass what was expected.
